John,
One option would be to use the "change" command on the command line:
Press <Esc> to get to the command line.
change any "String1"String2"bottom"
Press <Enter>
Press up arrow to modify and <Enter> again.
Or <Esc> to take you where you started.

Subject: Find/Replace Cursor Position

Hello IBM,

Back in Aug/2000, I first brought up the problem of Code moving the cursor
position within the view window whenever a "Replace All" is performed. I'm
now on WDSC 4.0, and I still can't find a way to prevent this from
happening. This "feature" has caused so many problems, and wasted so much of
my time, that I've taken to downloading the member, opening it in another
editor to perform the replace functions, then uploading it back to the 400
before I begin work within Code/400.

Is there any way to work around this in the newest release?

Regards,

John Taylor
