I deeply apologise for my earlier post.  I missed the mark completely.
Here's what I do:

esc /* takes me to the command line */
mark set rpl /* bookmarks the current position */
  /* I chose 'rpl' for the bookmark name at random */
top /* takes me to the top of the file */
change asis ,QSYSPRT,qsysprt,bottom,,? /* changes to lower case, prompting
each change */
  /* this leaves me positioned to the last change */
esc /* takes me to the command line */
mark find rpl /* puts me back to the place I was */

This seems more complex than it really is, since my commands are saved.  I
can <esc> to the command line and use the cursor keys to recall the earlier
commands.  I got bogged down in some real work.  I will try to post a macro
soon.
