Hi Jon,

Our site currently uses OS/400 V5R1, would we still be able to put Code 4.0
on our client PC's?

Thanks,
-Paul

The following may cure your problem - it was on IBM's web site at one time,
but since they have no released a new version for V5R2 (confusingly
identified as V4.0 to make it match with WebSphere) they seem to have
removed it from the site.

Here are the instructions to install V5R1M0 on WinXP.

1. Set the registry key.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IBM\WDT400\Transient]
"InstallSrcpath"="G:"
Replace "G:" with the source you install from(your CD drive
letter).

2. Run install\msisetup.exe (in CD1)

3. Run install\bin\v51setup.exe (in CD1)

Note to the IBMers - it would be _really_ naice if the "old" stuff did not
just disappear off the face of the planet after a new release comes out. I
spent 3 hours the other day trying to find the "how to fix Help" stuff for a
client. People will be using V5R1 for a long time yet. In fact as I noted
the other day, my partner Susan has no choice since the latest version has a
CPU and memory requirement that she can't match so she's sticking with V5R1.
