1) Install VAJAVA (disk5) first. Then install the rest. 2) Reboot after each step whether it tells you or not 3) turn off your virus protection 4) make sure you have the latest service pack. I did mine a week ago following these steps and the install went flawlessly. Works like a charm. Although the AS400 on which I work is on the same lan segment as my pc so I guess that's the simplest installation you can have.
