We have two iSeries boxes. The primary one is V4R5 and the developers all attach to it. Code/400 V3R2M3 and VARPG have been installed from this box to the Clients. call this box BLUE. Our newer iSeries is now at V5R1 - call this box RED. On RED, I can see that thee is a QDEVTools library and a folder under QIBM with similar name. Here's the question: I configured my CODE environment, adding a seconf TCP connection to RED and added a second host logon, also to RED. I then tried to edit source on the V5R1 box and got a message "EVF1158E" as follows: Explanation: You are attempting a request requiring a CODE/400 server connection, but the server specified is busy with another request. Response: Check that the server is not busy with an interactive command from the command log window or another part of CODE/400. If it simply executing another long running host command, wait for the request to end and try again. As a work-around, I created a DDM file to my QCLSRC called QCLSRCRED and this works fine. So I can edit for now. Long term I would expect to get rid of BLUE and make RED the principle box for development. I don't think it's really busy but wonder if I actually need to: A) do somthing on the V5R1 machine to enable CODE serving. B) get our PCs up to V5R1 with the new iSeries as the "managing host" and then connect to either machine as needed. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
