It used to be $300/seat, or free if you're on software subscription.  If the
latter, order V5R1, get the CD's, and leave the OS/400 CD's in the closet
for six months.  Of course, IBM's preferred way is for you to buy a new box!

I hoped we'd see a gigantic service pack that would take a WDT V4R5M1
installation up to V5R1, but I suspect it's not possible because of the
scope of the code and the complexity of the installation procedure.

How and where were you able to get WDT 5.1?  Was there $$$ involved?  We
won't be going to OS/400 V5 for awhile, but I'd like to get my hands on
WDT 5.1.
