I'm killing EVF* tasks on a daily basis and that requirement can't be part
of the design.  Another service pack for those us on V4R5M1 would be
great...not everybody is able (and if able, willing) to leap to V5R1...

Eric - you're starting to sound like a Microsoft support rep! - you'll have
us reload the OS next <grin>

I've found that when this happens (at least on NT and Win2K) you need to
get into the task list and kill all the evf... tasks (of course a reboot
achieves the same thing but it is a bit drastic).  There is one in
particular (sorry can't recall the name right now) that always shows up (at
least) twice when this error has occurred.
