Jon, > Eric - you're starting to sound like a Microsoft support rep! - > you'll have > us reload the OS next <grin> We're already half way there! I just had a MS-style situation with the Apache HTTP server. I shut down the server to apply some PTF's. The LODPTF went fine, but the APYPTF crashed with an exception message. It turned out that ENDTCPSVR didn't clean up the Apache environment completely. There was still a rogue thread active somewhere that had an object lock on one of the Apache program objects. I tried a WRKOBJLCK, but it didn't show any locks against the object. I was stuck until this weekend when I could IPL the system in order to release the lock!
