I’ve found an apparent side effect to the error I’m getting.

I copied a CPO file and changed the source file on the host and the local directory.  I then went into it and got this error: Server 1% not found. (I think that was it).  I then checked the servers under project set up and my server wasn’t there the way I defined it.  I have the server’s ip address and have it named something meaningful.  The ip address is what was showing up as available server.  In my existing cpo definitions, they open up ok with the server definition as the meaningful name.

Any ideas?

Phil

I just started getting this error message:

“Evfcsvrd.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.  You will need to restart the program.”  Restarting generates the same error.

I can still use Code/400 but I can’t work with the servers anymore.

Any ideas?

Phil

Of all the things I have tried over the last several weeks, this finally improved things.  Could you please see that the install FAQ gets updated with this info.  The symptom is EVF2040 RC = 133 and once it happens, at least for me, it happens every time the Comm daemon is accessed.

Thank you!

The JRE install was an optional install at the start of the install that is req'd byt the comm console (and other stuff) for proper operation.  You can re-install it by going to the ibmsdk (I think) directory on the first CD and running the install.exe there.  Re-installing the IBM SDK for java should fix the problem.

If this does not work let me know.

Yes - all three machines have been installed with the exact same install
disks, and the exact same functions (complete install).  All three are Win
2k pro machines, 2 of them are laptops.  The other two work just fine, mine
has the problem mentioned.  The install for all machines used the 3 CD
Websphere Development V4R5M1 version of the install disks, and have loaded
the latest service pack available for download from the web (60 meg, sp?1?).
