I am not sure if this will help you but in the beginning I played with the
comm console and deamon till I was blue in the face, sometimes things would
work, at other times they wouldnt. I then took to using Code/400 and the
debugger from teh AS/400 side

I now use the STRCODE command and have written some CL programs to start it
automatically for our programmers. Since CODE/400 will now use the sessions
LIBL and debug/compile using that sessions settings we have not had any
probelms, better yet I havent even opened the Comm Console.

We DO NOT use the VRPG so if you do use IBMS VARPG then this solution may
not work for you, Im just passing on what I have personally found helpful to
us.Good luck
