Subject: Errors with Windows2000 and Windows/NT?
Our company is rolling out CODE/400 to developers and analysts. As
part of the rollout, I had a session for 12 users. The PC's are all
new PC's with plenty of memory, and with Windows2000 as the OS. The
students were going through IBM's CODE/400 Introduction Lab. And all
had CODE/400 lock up at the same places. Afterwards, tried this on a
WindowsNT PC, with the same results. Meanwhile, I can do the same
thing on my PC with Windows95 with no problems. All CODE/400 installs
are at V4R5M1.
Here are the problem areas:
Designer - locks up when working with indicator sets
Does not allow you to submit compiles in the Editor - When selecting
Compile-Prompt, you can make changes to the parameters, such as
selecting CRTBNDRPG, but as soon as you press Submit, CODE Program
Generator and the editor lock.
Prompted on a D Spec, but when you position your cursor under Keywords
and press F1, the editor locks.
Not a single PC could do the above things, except for my PC with
Win95.
Needless to say, this first class was not very impressed with
CODE/400. Any suggestions?
