Along with my earlier suggestions to read both the 7.2 MTU and the 7.3 MTU
I have to add one other obscure document I found:
MTU Supplement for 7.2
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/wikis/home?lang=en#!/wiki/IBM%20i%20Technology%20Updates/page/Memorandum%20To%20Users%20(MTU)%20Supplement

One of the classic lines from it:

Note: These behavior differences are not included within the MTU document
because these are thought to be obscure and rare differences in behavior.

A former coworker now at a different shop, running a different software
package from a different vendor was bitten by one of the things listed in
this MTU Supplement. Basically the way that the package involved used in
processing the INFDS on a file used with OPNQRYF changed when OPNQRYF
moved from CQE to SQE.
They had to get a patch from their vendor.
IDK if Infor uses any of the same logic in such a situation as this vendor
did.

Make sure to do some testing of OPNQRYF programs in a timely fashion.
