Martin We have a data collection solution that would allow you to do real time integration into your BPCS system. With our Off Line Data Collection Module, you can continue to collect and validate BPCS data while the host connection is down. When the host is available again, these transactions are the processed automatically and your users are back up and using your BPCS system again. This would be a fast, simple, and cost effective was to solve your issue. For more information about our BPCS solution, please feel free to contact me offline at the numbers listed below. It has worked well for us. Just keep in mind that you need to keep the QP1ARCY report that prints out of the save job to tell you which tapes are needed for a complete restore. All of this assumes you use BRMS. What products are you guys using and how do you manage it. ? The initial requirement is for very simple barcode swiping which needs to update BPCS when available again. We have traditionally avoided the save-while-active options for our overnight backups. I remember seeing a product to perform file reorgs on the fly (can't remember the name), is anyone using this ?
