What settings are you using on your client. We get that message when we do not have a test ALAUNCH deamon started on the 400. Also, what port are you using to connect , you need to use a separate port from your live system.

A few ideas.
1. Does your test environment have a different user library than your live environment which contains the INLIBL data area, BPCSMENU program object, TCPIPJOBD, and ALAUNCH program object and all of these specify the correct library or library list for the environment being connected to?
2. When you submit the ALAUNCH job for the test environment are you using a different port number than used in live?
3. Do your workstation settings in the session manager match your library list, port, and TCP/IP address being connected to?
4. Does the BPCS user id in the test environment have security to sign onto CEA icons?

Is you version of test the same as your prod? Note some versions the userid and password both have to be less then 9 long. Also check the jobd's etc in the lib that you are listing as your user lib under sever in workstation settings.

On the workstation settings, server tab, did you put in the correct port number for the environment? Also need to change the libraries to point to the correct environment.

We are running on BPCS version 6.1.01. The problem we are having is setting up the session client to connect to our test environment. The session client works fine in production, but when we change the parameters to connect to test we get FATAL ERROR: Cannot start physical server. Check INI file. Have gone through jobd, jobq, Checking how Alaunch is being submitted, NWICFG , everything we can think of and come up empty. Anybody have suggestion on
what we may be overlooking.
