qty issued to a work order

suppose we cut a work order that requires 14 feet of raw material. suppose we 
then go to the stockroom and find a 12 foot bar of raw material and we issue 
the 12 feet to the work order. this still leaves a requirement for 2 feet for 
that work order. is there any way to tell bpcs that the 12 feet that was issued 
is all that is going to be issued to that work order, ie kill the remaining 
requirement for the 2 feet? the only way that i know how to do this is to go 
into the work order and change the required qty on the work order to a lesser 
amount.

how do others handle this situation?
