I would suggest defining another field in length of 49, include it in the data model which has the display subfile, replace it on the screen. Most AS/SET has Action Subroutine call "A1FMTDATA - Format Data for display" You should be able to get same the value at this subroutine. Other SQL intense pgm is little different. If you need more detail than post version of BPCS, program name, and field name. Or feel free to call me. Good luck. The field is not part of a data model but when I do a Y in the Char field beside the field define in the action subroutine where it is defined and go to the "Field Characteristics" screen it won't accept the change. I put a "-" sign in the field data type then put 49 in the Length and press enter--I get an error that says "Invalid Field Type". Any pointers? --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!?
