there is a field called MRP reschedule date in the following MRP files.
FSO - open shop orders
HPO - open purchase orders
KFP - planned orders (both purchased and mfg)

look at this MRP reschedule date and compare it to the current due date field
in each record. if the MRP reschedule date is less than the current due date,
this is an EXPEDITE exception. if the MRP reschedule date in greater than the
current due date, this is a DEEXPEDITE exception. if the MRP reschedule date is
99999999 this is a CANCEL exception.

suggestion, run MPS/MRP to regenerate planned orders. this way the planned
orders on KFP will get generated with the due dates that MRP thinks are needed.
you will only have to look for exception on firm planned orders on KFP.

we've written a program that we call the MRP summary exception report. it shows
the planners the MRP reschedule exception for their parts, one line per part.
they can look at this much faster than the standard MRP exception report. the
other thing that we did is to put a filter into this program so that they only
see reschedule exceptions that exceed a specified number of days.

the one big issue that i have and don't know how to get around is when you have
many levels of parts. if you reschedule a work order at the top level, you
don't see the impact of that change until the next MRP run. then you get a
message to reschedule the next lower level part. again you don't see the impact
of this change until another MRP run. so if you have many levels, you can
reschedule the top parts, but you might not get MRP to tell you to reschedule
the low level raw material for a week or so. i wish there was a way around this.

Can someone point me at field(s) containing exception condition that existed
as of last regen or net change?

Intent Šlist plans needing human attention, such as via query/400 or a
simple RPG or SQL program, with less baggage than found in most SSA programs.
