Hello,

We too haven't run BOM900 for years. I do remember the last time we ran it,
it caused us major headaches w/ both MRP and Cost Rolls due to an error in
the code. Even though this error has been fixed for years (via a BMR),
we've become gun-shy... I occasionally run the following SQL to check to
see if there is a need to run BOM900:

SELECT bid.01, bprod.01, ilevl.02, bseq.01, bchld.01, ilevl.03
NAME(ilevl2), bdeff.01
FROM mbm, iim, iim

JOIN BY bprod.01=iprod.02 AND bchld.01=iprod.03

WHERE           ilevl.02>=ilevl.03

We are on 405CD, but I think this logic will work for all versions of 6 as
well.

We haven't found any items w/ invalid level codes since we resolved the
BOM900 issue. I believe, a while back, there was an error in BOM500 w/
copying Bills of Material that caused duplicates BOMs and level codes.

Hello, all.

We needed to run BOM900 yesterday in order to resequence low level codes
and allow MRP600 to plan properly. The last time we needed to do this was
literally years ago. Anyone know what causes the low level codes to need
this action? Anyone run BOM900 on a regular schedule? If so, why and how
often?

Thanks for any help.
