If you view support as the primary reason to upgrade, you are missing the whole 
point of moving to the new technologies.  There will eventually come a point 
where there is no choice. Old systems, software and hardware, become more and 
more expensive to maintain the older they become.  It is better to keep a clear 
strategic view of ERP needs that look out 5 - 10 years into the future. No 
matter how much your clients like 4.05CD, it is not a strategically viable 
systems in the long term, and therefore, you are not going your clients any 
favors by not suggesting that they move to new hardware and software platforms.
