Are you up to date on Y2K BMRs?

We had to install thousands of SSA fixes last year & about 10% of them
sounded Y2K related, although most did not explicitly say so. Our MRP was
all screwed up, in 1999 with planning into 2000, until we got caught up on
SSA BMRs.

On item with planning that you do not understand, do MRP300 then take the
command for PEGGING so that it will tell you what it thinks it needs those
materials FOR ... which may show you other items with apparently absurd
requirements.

On any item with apparently excess planning, do where-used BOM300 to identify
where the stock is used, then check if there are any requirements on any of
those items, such as resupply orders, shop orders, etc. You might run a BOM2
report listing all where used, then individually inquire into hits.
