Haven't had the pleasure of such an experience, only considerations that come
to mind would be:
a. lot size
b. order policy
c. pur to stk conversion factor
d. dynamic minimum balance calculation hosed up via number of periods entered
[althought it sounds like this circumstance is applicable to a manual mb entry]
e. unidentified relationship to higher level demand
I'd appreciate hearing the final diagnosis

Fellow BPCS Victims.

Could someone please help me out with the following problem:

For some purchase parts, which are planned through MRP, requirements are
planned which are not related to any order / forecast (planned) from MPS.
F.I we have an item which has a safety stock of 2000 pcs, but at the end of
this year, MRP has planned 300,000 parts!

In MRP140 all settings are OK.
Did anybody experience the same problem; what is the solution to this
problem.

Thanks,
