We had the same problem in BPCS 6.0.04. This was due to the ZEF-file. As I understood: the allocation program runs trough all records on the ZEF file including all logically deleted records. What we do now daily is clearing physically those logically deleted records from ZEF. After this deletion, the allocation works at a much higher speed.
