  We had the same problem in BPCS 6.0.04.  This was due to the ZEF-file. 
  As I understood: the allocation program runs trough all records on the 
  ZEF file including all logically deleted records.  What we do now 
  daily is  clearing physically those logically deleted records from 
  ZEF.  After this deletion, the allocation works at a much higher 
  speed.

Dear Members,
  
I would like to know if someone has tips on how to improve performance on the 
following programms in BPCS 6.1:
  
INV300, ORD550 (Action 12 allocations), ORD720 (order allocations). 
Generally all the programm that use allocations are extremely slow.
