David, Agreed with Jeff 100%. You might also want to look into using SETOBJACC to place frequently called modules (like SYS003B, SYS900B, SYS903B, SYS006B, and SYS007B, etc.) into a shared memory pool. I realize the latter two examples won't help a batch program, but they _will_ improve interactive response. With _thorough_ analysis and enough memory, files like ZPA can be included as well...
