Hi Jerry

I just had a tough week trying to update v7 - IM blew up on me - so I gave up and did the full uninstall-reinstall game - YUK. I have the Advanced Edition - partners with Software Access Catalog subscription can get it. Also had HATS 7 and RBDE 7 (EGL). Did a reinstall - very clean, worked great. Then ran IM to get to 7.0.0.2 - blew up again - turned out to EGL stuff - it's wonderful how this stuff does not work well together - sheesh! Once I uninstalled the RBDE feature/app, the update worked great using IM.

Software Updates IS the way to install things like Turnover's plugins, including the RSE Extensions. I have instructions for that at work - can relay them to anyone that needs them. Worked fine for me yesterday - once in a row - SUCCESS!

Mark,

I upgraded to v7 on Monday. First the Software Updates in the Help menu
item crapped out three or four times before it finally finished (got
closer each time I ran it).

Then, the Installation Manager kept crashing. It, too, seemed to get a
little closer each time I ran it.

From this distance I don't recall the errors that either process
generated. I do remember that the Log files weren't any help to me
(probably would have been to a tech support person).

On the plus side. It was worth the pain (though I kept v6 "just in case").
