It's probably one of those hex characters that will print a different character 
depending on which language you are using.
I tried looking at the following:

Find the hex value for this character, init a 1 byte field for it's value at
beginning of pgm (like :   move    x'1A'       delim)
then cat the delim field to the end of each record.
If you don't know what the hex is, but can find the ASCII value, we can
determine the hex from that. Maybe someone else on the list is familiar with
the character you need.
