Re: ACS installation

There is an installation script in ACS which does a fine job of setting things up. It’s not like your typical “installation wizard” that modifies registry entries etc. like other software does.

Once that is run the first time you can just drop the ACS jar file in to do the update, but we encourage our customers to just run the install script. Easy, fast, and tends to correct issues more easily. The exception is for a MAC. There some gymnastics are required to get the app on the system since Apple has not seen fit to allow IBM to install with “normal” methods.
