Hit with what? If your system is already stable, I'm not sure what hit
you would take waiting a month or so before applying a package.
Actively pursuing an issue what could be fixed via a PTF is a different
scenario. Just my opinion, but smaller shops typically don't have the
complex environments which cause issues to arise.
If you can't remember the issue - it's not really an issue.. is it?
Everything can be fixed with a re-boot. Oh wait, Sorry, I forgot this
isn't the windows list.

There are a few issues to this waiting:
1 - Getting 'hit' while waiting.
2 - Let's say there was an issue but the issue is fixed by a new PTF. Do
you put the fixing PTF on also or do you wait a few weeks to see if that
one has an issue and just put on the first ptf?
3 - Waiting too long that experts can't remember the issues. For example,
someone wants to upgrade to 7.2 now. Heck for many of us we can hardly
remember any issues upgrading to 7.5 because we did it over a year ago.
How are we supposed to remember any issues with 7.2?
