however...
MY STUPID MISTAKE...
I had "NOT NULL FOR BIT DATA"
on the wrong field.... not my password field...
when I fixed that, it worked great.

1 rows inserted...

select decrypt_char(ppswd,'testenc') from XXXXXX

column or global variable testenc not found



how do I format my select to get my data back???????????
