So I'm looking for that date in the future when Richard posts: "My power
blipped for just a second and the system crashed. When i went to bring
it up, it complains that it needs to clear the ASP. What happened??"

Probably not recommended practice but.............
I had a cache battery go out that was less than a year old or so it seemed.
Brought down the system, removed battery for 2 minutes, put it back in and it's running fine.
Not totally convinced these batteries need replacement every year :-)

subject: 5722 SRC27638008 - Battery Pack, right?
I got the dreaded critical system hardware problem notification. I'm
pretty sure this is a battery pack. Before I knock the machine down and
head over to Batteries Plus, if anyone can confirm that'd be great.
It DOES say battery cache as one of the probable causes, I just wanted
to double check.
