We're using CPYPF2XLS:

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
// Convert PF into Excel file
// (c) Peter Colpaert 2005 - mailto:Peter.Colpaert@xxxxxxxxxx
//
// Important: since POI 1.8.0, createRow takes a 10i0 parm
// instead of 5i0 - change back if using POI 1.5.1
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

See http://www.think400.dk/downloads.htm

It copies a PF into the IFS as a true XLS file.

It's slow. But it does work. Once it was set up we haven't had to poke at it.

"Requires the Jakarta POI runtime (1.8.0 or higher) in your Classpath," but it's not terribly complicated and the instructions aren't too bad.
