Is NFS suitable for batch copying many files to a drive on a Win system across
wan (many states away),

or is it more for accessing files on other servers and use ftp for batch
transfers like this?
Hundreds of files in the 1-20 meg range size. These are .tif and .pdf from
Content Manager, stored in ifs.
