And thin console is no longer supported on Power6 hardware (probably partly because Neoware, the make of the Thin Consoles IBM was selling, was bought out by HP).

IBM offers thin console to replace twinax console, and that
has to be next
to the server - but thin console is an option, not a
requirement..
