The FALL Focus event was a success from the criteria that the board had laid
out when we started our planning sessions 2 years ago. We wanted something
that had detailed indepth education, and Focus surely delivered on that.
The number actual number of people was a little over 300 people. I did a
quick survey of the vendors on Sunday night during the reception. Every
Vendor that I spoke to was very happy with the leads and the people visiting
their booth. They said they were able to spend a little time with each
attendee, and thought the leads were of good quality. Everyone I spoke to
said they would do it again.

This was the first event, and it was a major change in the entire offerings
of COMMON (webinars, FOCUS, Annual Conference, web sessions, and one day
events). I am sure the Board is looking at the feedback from the attendees,
and figuring out if there are things that could be done better, but I though
the event was great. Ralph and his staff did an excellent job and seemed to
have most details covered.

By the way, Focus was my last meeting on the Board, and I am just a good ole
member of COMMON now.

Trevor

While the attendee count has nothing to do with the quality of the
educational offerings, it does add to the excitement and camaraderie. If 2
educational opportunities were present and one had twice as many attendees,
I would probably pick the larger one ... Assuming the content was similar in
quality and value.

Thanks!

Chad,

Why would the number of attendees decide on a conference for you? If the
conference provides your educational needs, why would the number of
attendees matter?

Do you have a list of criteria for choosing which conference to attend?

Has anyone heard any numbers from this Fall's Common event in Columbus,

We had some discussion of the Common conference options in a meeting here
the other day and a few people were wondering how well the Fall event was
attended...
