The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
The presentation is generally a function of a report writer, or
if/when desirable the SQL itself. However when done in SQL, the type
will change to character for presentation. The data is also converted
to character for presentation in a report writer, but the underlying
data/type would remain unchanged in the fetch buffer.
So if the fetch data must remain numeric, and the presentation should
be prepended with zeros, look to the report writer being used, for what
it provides to present /edited/ numeric values. STRQM which I think was
based on QMF, supports an editing features J & I in FORM definition, of
which both edit features will include leading zeros; the former omits
any negative indicator, and the latter includes a minus symbol as left
negative indicator. HTH
