RE: RAID Cache Battery Source

Fred,
Good that you noticed the message about your RAID Cache Battery getting
low. Degraded performance on disk I/O is very noticeable.


Our Cache battery finally failed after it sent several months of warning
messages. We didn't notice this message in QSYSOPR and had not yet
created QSYSMSG queue which this message will go to also.


We experienced degraded performance before we found the message and had
a new battery installed by IBM.
