If you want to use the addins, go ahead, but as you found out, they need the DB2 Connect drivers, and that's not free. OTOH, Client Access has .NET drivers built into it. I've used them successfully from .NET many times. You don't get the pretty dialogs to help you build code, but then again, I've never liked IBM's generated code. Make sure .NET is selected in CA setup so they're on your machine and then add a reference to the "IBM DB2 UDB for iSeries .NET Provider" and code away. The classes are all w/in the IBM.Data.DB2.iSeries namespace. -Walden
