There are TCPIP APIs that can give you a lot of information. Note that in NETSTAT you can see the job(s) associated with a connection.

What server ports are in effect can be determined from the services file - QATOCPS. You could look for the service, then get the port. This can change, so you can't depend on defined ports. It is keyed as in this SQL statement:

select * from qatocps order by service, port, protocol

5250 emulators use port 23. WSG uses other ports. If I can find out which port is in use, I think that would solve the problem. Can I do this and if so how?
