RE: Also Leaving MidRange Equipment

A lot of this reminds me of the discussion I had with a former manager.  I 
was arguing for switching from twinax over twisted pair to lan over cat 5. 
 His argument was that everyone and their brother made boosters for twinax 
over twisted pair.  I argued that it was because "there was a market for 
it".  The technology was so crappy that you need a bazillion boosters to 
keep it working.
