DataMirror vs. Universal

We are considering getting either DataMirror or Universal for Data propagation. 
Universal is based in Windows servers. My  question is in the day to day side 
for DataMirror, is there extensive operator work required, checking, etc... if 
so what are some of the issue that the operator and admin staff have to deal 
with?
