Save files too slow? I have cut backup windows by 75% with SAVFs on large customer systems. Run enough of them in parallel to burry the I/O or CPU (whichever happens first.) Then you save those things to tape as time permits with the system back on line. Ya just gotta know the best programming language going: CL!
