Are you saying you could have one of these cards in your iseries and have any number of partitions using this card at the same time and then the KVM device would be able to tell which one you want active. Or, you would have to have a seperate card for each partiton, and these would then fit into the KVM device? Much like the KVM portion of the 2792 card. I think having one card simulaneously in use by multiple partitions would be a big change in how LPAR currently works. And I wonder if IBM could come up with a card that simulated the KVM portion of the 2792 card at a significant cost reduction of the 2792 card.
