3. POWER series CPU vs. Itanic, er, Itanium.  Assumes an Itanium IxA is
released at some point.  If not, then POWER vs. P4.

More than likely there'd be one less layer to go through to get at
assigned disk, Ethernet, etc.

I won't tout reliability as, to be honest, our IPCS 333MHz PII has been
perfectly reliable running NT 4 since '99.

'Theoretically', the hardware should be more reliable.  (Please, no
debate 
on that.  If that is your point, a simple 'hardware reliability' will 
suffice.)  However you're already using (formerly) IBM disk.

I wonder how many levels of OS, cume's etc. it would take to make it as 
reliable as just running it on the xSeries card?

I got the impression from him a year ago that it might be sooner than 
that.
He said that IBM was ready to go, but M$ was a year behind schedule.
