I am in the process of trying to add a 6502 RAID card to a model
400-9402. The current box has no expansion chassis attached and had
room for 2 SPD cards. In the machine there is an Ethernet card and a
6141 ASCII controller card. I do not use the ASCII controller anymore
so my plan was to replace the 6141 with the 6502. The machine also has
4 drives in it, 2 6607s and 2 6606s. My plan (I am currently doing it
as I write) is to unload my data, swap the 2 6606s for 6607s and reload
my data. So far so good. My question is this:

Can I use the 6502 card in this AS400? The reason I ask is because the
6141 card I removed only had one connector to connect the card to the
system backplane, however the 6502 has 2 connectors. If I look in the
slot, there is clearly only one place for a connection to be made. Is
there something else I need to use the 6502? A different bus or
something? Do I have to have an expansion cabinet bolted to this
machine?

Any info is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
cjg
