Well see, James, we all have days like you describe, so we remember the
good old days. It helps us keep perspective when a client comes within a
heartbeat of missing a payroll. Its the grease that lubricates and
reduces friction amongst people riding in the same carriage.

Try it, you'll like it.

btw, the part about the Zen watch? I loved it. Can't wait for the
chance to slip into a conversation.

Don,

Sorry to be this way, I'm having a bad hair day or hormonal storm, or a
client who just replaced their S/36 less than 30 days ago and wonders
why they have to work this weekend to meet payroll on Monday ... don't
know .... go figure! ;-}

But come on folk's, every year there is an incredible amount of download
time wasted on the geezer contest.

Hey Dorothy, you're not in Kansas anymore! The fact that you or I
programmed in APL on a 4k 3741 or Absolute on an 1130 and became a hero
at that time is yesterdays news.

Yesterday is a highly filtered/foggy memory. Tomorrow may be. Today is.

James W. Kilgore

P.S. About 10 years ago I went to a one man show at a French
Cabaret/resetaurant. I don't know the correct spelling of his name but
I recall (filtered/foggy) as Koggel.

Early in is monolog he informed us that he had terminal cancer. Once he
came to grips with this he started to wear a "Zen" watch. (In practice
it's not wearing any watch at all). A "Zen" watch is one that sez
"now", unless it's broken and it sez "then".
