Remember, I am on a browser at a remote pc and can't type commands.  All I
get is the URL string.

                think the hang up is the curlibout.  I think it really wants
a library.  
                400 ftp is picky in that you sometimes have to log off and
back on again 
                to change NAMEFMT's.  If I am going to be working with
directories, I 
                always do the cd /mydirectory first.
