Hi Booth,

We are developing microservices in the cloud using another platform, sometimes touching the IBMi via stored procedures.

IWS could be part of a microservices environment. It just isn't part of ours. We decided on a different approach for reasons unrelated to the performance of IWS. The same goes for RESTful APIs using Node.js on the IBMi. Our proof of concept APIs worked fine. We just went with a different alternative.

But who knows what software demands might pop up in the future? The atypical situation always arrives at some point. If we ever want to host some APIs on the IBMi in the future, I'll recommend looking closely at IWS as well as Node.js.
