Thanks, Jim. Yep, running in *BASE. I will tell them to contact their BP
to set up the pools.

What are the fault/paging rates in *BASE and what ever pool the HTTP

If as I suspect everything but interactive and spool are running in *BASE
then you’ve found your root cause.

My guess based on your post is they forklifted the system from the V5R4
system on top of the new box and did not retune the system for two version
changes and three release changes.

There are quite a few things to look at to bring it up to current
standards.

I have a customer who runs the HTTP Apache server running CGI apps for
their business.

They do backups and night and end the servers so they can do a save.

Ever since going to V7R3 and new hardware the HTTP server seems to take
over 15 minutes for all jobs to end.

I'm not a systems guy and they were asking about storage pools or
something
like that, so I thought I'd ask here.

On their old system (V5R4) this problem did not exist. All the
applications are exactly the same as before.

TIA!
