Which raises a question for which I've never known an answer.
My web site counter registers a couple of hundred hits a week. How many
of those are likely to be web crawlers and other non-human hits?
I've heard people way smarter than me give wildly varying answers.

Many questions answered, but this one below lets you submit your site to
be crawled.
btw - depending on your web code - their crawler can have issues if
you web pages dynamically created, and you don't take steps to
give the crawler info (how should a crawler categorize you if no
real info activated by the crawler...)
