Sorry, I wasn't clear.

Zend Server does not have a second Apache server and, therefore, does
not require proxy directives. Fast CGI is the only implementation of
PHP in Zend Server and we are see a good recovery in performance as a
result of eliminating the Apache server in PASE with some seeing as much
as 30% improvement. You can try the beta download for yourself at the
link below and install is side by side with Core/Platform. It installs
as a completely separate LP so there is no interference between the two
environments. Fast CGI is not supported with Zend Core a you need a new
binary running in PASE to execute the PHP code.

Mike

What about using the fastcgi support? Would that not emove the need
for the proxy directives?

As I understand it you do not have the need for the two apache servers.

I have Drupal running on IBM i under Zend Server. Should be putting
something else up soon. It goes in on Zend Server a lot better than
Core as you do not need special directives to help deal with the
proxy.
