IBM folks say that the native driver is faster. There are optimizations available to it that the toolbox one doesn't.

Having said that, it may be simpler to pick just one. Have heard that from IBMers, also. I think I have, anyhow! Would have to check my notes from COMMON and a presentation on the Toolbox.

Would the difference in timing be explainable by having to transfer the request and answer over the network to the Windows machine?
